Performance modeling for accurate energy output and yield prediction of bifacial PV systems
Understand the impact of bifacial modules on the LCOE of the project, including calculating the higher energy generation level for different environmental conditions and installation setup
Today Bifacial PV is becoming mainstream with capacity available at GW scale and corresponding utility scale projects globally, as the deployment of bifacial PV technology has proven to be the most effective solution to reduce the LCOE and increase the IRR of PV systems. On one hand, the innovation in bifacial technology, such as transparent backsheet, is one of the key factors that influences bifacial modules to become a mainstream technology for many EPCs. Innovation, as well as quality (reliability and durability) of the module positively impact the profitability of utility-scale PV power plants in the long run. On the other hand, standardization and accurate performance models for yield predictions are becoming a must to generate quality-based finance and procurement strategies to ensure long-term project viability.
In this webinar, JinkoSolar, together with ECN.TNO, will discuss the impact of bifacial modules on the LCOE of the projects from different point of views. Andrea Viaro, Head of Technical Service Europe, from JinkoSolar will discuss how innovation in bifacial technology, such as its bifacial Swan modules with DuPont Clear Tedlar film- based backsheet, significantly and positively can impact the profitability of utility-scale PV power plants. Teun Burgers, Senior Researcher and Bas Van Aken, Scientist in PV module technology at ECN.TNO will present their unique and versatile simulation model, BIGEYE, that can be used to accurately predict the yield of a complex bifacial PV systems.
Join our webinar, to discover how innovation in bifacial technology, can positively impact the profitability of utility-scale PV power plants.
